Jyoung-Ah Kim (정아 킴)은 미국 텍사스 출신으로 현재 서울에서 원어민 성우로 활동하고 있습니다. 1999년에 데뷔하여2009년부터 한국에서 전문적으로 커리어를 쌓기 시작했습니다. 5,000 시간이 넘는 경력을 가지고 있는 정아 킴 은 OnStyle, Nexon의Counterstrike (Co2) 게임, 서울 공항 리무진 버스 영어 안내방송의 목소리로 가장 널리 알려져 있으며, CF, 비디오 게임, 미술관 가이드, 다큐멘터리, 오디오북, 대중교통 안내방송 등 다양한 분야에서 활발한 활동을 하고 있습니다.
정아 킴 의 매력적인 목소리는 삼성, LG, 롯데, 현대 모터스, 대한항공, Adidas, FILA, MCM, Clarins, 예술의 전당, 국립중앙박물관 등 여러 회사를 대표하여 흘러나오고 있습니다. 또한 Mix 94.7 (미국 텍사스), TBS eFM 101.3등 에서 생방송을 진행하였고, Fox 7 News (미국 텍사스), CJ 홈쇼핑, 아리랑 TV, TBS eFM, EBS, KBS 등 다양한 채널에서 진행자나 MC로 녹화방송에 참여한 바 있습니다. 뿐만 아니라 Twilight Ebb Production에서 제작한 독립 영화 몇 편과 Bloated Cat Production과 Penguin Films의 장편 영화에 출연하는 등 배우로도 활발하게 활동하고 있습니다.
정아 킴 은 한국국제성우협회(IVTK)의 공동대표입니다. 한국에서 활동하는 외국인 성우들을 위해 한국국제성우협회(IVTK)를 설립했으며, 이 밖에도 다양한 단체와 활동을 구축했습니다. 또한 위안부 생존자를 위한 나눔의 집에서 5년 동안 봉사활동을 해 왔으며, 단체를 만들어 생존자들의 증언을 번역하고, 알리고, 기금을 마련하는 등의 다양한 활동을 이끌었습니다. 이를 통해 한국에서 뜻을 같이 하는 여러 사람들을 만났고, V-Day Korea를 창단하여 2007년과 2008년에 연극 ‘버지니아 모놀로그’를 기획, 연출했으며 배우로 출연하기도 했습니다. 당시 회원들과 함께 5만불이 넘는 기금을 모아 나눔의 집 등에 전액 기부하였습니다. 정아 킴 은 우리 사회를 좀더 아름답고 살기 좋게 하기 위해 늘 최선을 다하고 있습니다.
Jyoung-Ah Kim, born and raised in Dallas, TX, is a North-American English female voice-over talent currently residing in Washington, DC. Jyoung-Ah started voice acting in the US in 1999 and full-time in Korea since 2009. With over 5,000 hours of paid professional work; she has voiced a wide range of jobs from commercials, audio books, documentaries, video games, animations, devices, museum audio guides to public transportation, and more. Jyoung-Ah is best known for being the voice of On Style on the On Style channel, Nexon’s Counterstrike (Co2), and the English announcements on the Seoul Airport Limousine Bus lines.
Some other clients include Samsung, LG, Lotte, Hyundai Motors, Korean Air, Adidas, Fila, MCM, Clarins cosmetics, Seoul Art Center, and National Museum of Korea, to name a few. Also a radio talent, MC, and actor; Jyoung-Ah has broadcast live on: Mix 94.7 in Austin, TX, TBS eFM 101.3 and EBS; and recorded voice overs for Fox 7 News (Austin, TX), CJ Home Shopping, Arirang TV, TBS eFM, EBS and KBS. She has worked with Twilight Ebb Productions in various independent films and starred in a full feature film with Bloated Cat Productions and Penguin Films.
Jyoung-Ah Kim is also a dedicated member in her community who has helped co-found and launch several organizations and movements. Jyoung-Ah co-founded International Voice Talent of Korea (IVTK), an association bringing the foreign voice actor community in Korea together. Convinced in the importance of solidarity for the voice acting community, Jyoung-Ah has volunteered countless number of hours to forge this organization. She has also volunteered for the House of Sharing, a residence for former “Comfort Women” for 5 years; where she co-founded the International Outreach Team translating testimonials, managing tours, spreading the awareness, and raising funds for the survivors. Building this group, she was blessed to meet amazing women and men who introduced her to a similar cause and helped launched V-Day in Korea and went on to produce, direct, and act in the benefit production of “The Vagina Monologues” for 2007 and 2008. She has helped raise over $50,000 for these issues along with many others including fundraisers for fellow community members who fell into hardships. Jyoung-Ah is committed to bettering the community as a whole and she hopes that you will join her in her efforts.
